Galderma Initiates Breast Cancer Campaign Focusing on Aesthetic Solutions for Survivor Confidence

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Galderma, a specialist in dermatology, has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to address an often overlooked aspect of breast cancer survivorship. Their joint initiative, titled “Facing Breast Cancer Together,” focuses not on the diagnosis or treatment of breast cancer itself, but on an issue that significantly affects the quality of life for women dealing with breast cancer ā€“ changes in physical appearance resulting from treatment, which can involve scarring and other aesthetic concerns.

Galderma recognizes the importance of a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach to address these challenges, including the use of aesthetic treatments. As part of their commitment, they are highlighting the personal stories of five breast cancer survivors who have benefited from their aesthetic products. These products include Restylane, an aesthetic filler for various skin areas, Sculptra, a collagen therapy, and Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA), an alternative to Botox. Throughout October, the profiles of these five survivors will be featured on social media platforms.

Furthermore, Galderma has announced its pledge to donate $25 to the NBCF for every new consumer who enrolls in the ASPIRE Galderma Awards during October, with a maximum donation limit of $50,000. This collaborative effort seeks to support breast cancer survivors in addressing the physical changes that can accompany their journey, fostering a sense of empowerment and well-being during and after treatment.

ā€œAlongside National Breast Cancer Foundation, Galderma will be honoring the nearly 3.8 million breast cancer survivors this month. This disease touches the lives of so manyā€”it is not just the patient but their loved onesā€”children, partners, parents and friends – whose lives are impacted.

It is common for people facing breast cancer to feel isolated or not like themselves. Galderma is dedicated to empowering individuals to feel their best, especially those who have lost that sense of self. We are here to face breast cancer togetherā€”it is our hope that survivors can embrace our aesthetic products to help regain any lost confidence and feel like the best version of themselves.”
