Accenture Song buys ConcentricLife for $245M | Pharma News

Accenture, known for its relentless pursuit of acquisitions, has returned to the deal table once again. The global services company, which has acquired over 40 companies in the last decade to shape Accenture Song, is set to acquire ConcentricLife for $245 million, just months after the formation of this agency.

ConcentricLife, a brainchild of Stagwell, was established in February, uniting two agencies to create a specialized organization focused on rare diseases, healthcare, and wellness. With a team of 270 employees spanning locations in the US, UK, and Denmark, ConcentricLife also boasts a proprietary tool designed to assist marketers in identifying and targeting the fundamental human behaviors that underpin the modern health experience.

For Accenture, this acquisition aligns seamlessly with its expansive advertising and marketing services unit, Accenture Song. Formerly known as Accenture Interactive, this unit has evolved through more than 40 acquisitions over a decade, propelling its annual sales to $14 billion. ConcentricLife will introduce full-service digital healthcare marketing and communication expertise to this dynamic organization.

The journey to the creation of ConcentricLife involved several strategic moves. Stagwell took control of Concentric Partners by merging with MDC Partners in 2021. Shortly after finalizing the merger, Stagwell invested $8.1 million to secure the remaining 27% of Concentric, solidifying its ownership. MDC Partners had initially invested in Concentric back in 2011. With full ownership in hand, Stagwell merged Concentric with Scout to birth the innovative agency, ConcentricLife.
