Sanofi’s South Korea branch organized an indoor soccer game known as futsal to address the social isolation experienced by homeless individuals. The company recently held the inaugural ceremony for the “Dream” futsal club, created to help the homeless regain a sense of self-sufficiency. This initiative was part of Sanofi’s Helping Hands program, a decade-long commitment to promoting the right to health for homeless individuals and addressing the social disconnect they often face. Notably, Helping Hands also constitutes South Korea’s most extensive free flu vaccination program for homeless people.
Through its sponsorship of Dream, Sanofi, known for marketing popular flu vaccines, aims to empower homeless individuals by helping them rebuild a positive self-image through sports and boost their self-confidence. Following the launch ceremony, Dream will operate as an official futsal club in the Korea Futsal League.
